This is bigger than politics

There are certain truths that need to be addressed in times such as this. One of these inevitable truths is that at some point, the fight with MAGA is no longer about political differences.

One of the most common arguments I have seen is ‘why can’t we be friends’ or ‘agree to disagree’

Those kinds of arguments (or, rather, non-arguments) are reserved for things like ‘I don’t like coffee’ or ‘beer tastes like piss’ not ‘gay people shouldn’t exist’ or ‘I hate black people’

If ‘political differences’ to you means whether or not 8 percent of the population should be allowed to exist, you need to seriously rethink your views on politics.

At what point is it no longer politics?

At what point is it bigger than Trump?

At what point is it bigger than republican versus democrat?

At what point does MAGA become inherently dangerous?

At what point?

It’s not about politics anymore. It became far bigger than republicans and democrats a long time ago. It became bigger than Trump years ago. It’s bigger than the United States. It’s bigger than all of us.

I know this sounds a tad dramatic, but that’s because it is. This entire situation that we are in is the most dramatic, the most dangerous, and the most surreal time we will all go through.

We cannot just ignore it, that’s what the Germans did.

This entire situation has so very many uncomfortable historical parallels.

Hitler was a democratically elected leader. Putin was democratically elected. The first leader of the USSR was (kinda) democratically elected.

Our constitution is not as airtight as we like to think it is. Trump has spent the last 4 years consolidating. He has some of the most wealthy people on this earth at his side. The third term project literally compares him to Caesar, in a positive light.

The GOP will stop at nothing to give him unlimited and unchecked power, call your state rep. 

Vote blue down the ballot in the midterms, we need to stop anything and everything they want to do.
