The earth hates life.
Throughout time, there have been many extinction level events.
An extinction level event is when the entirety of the life are killed on earth, for example: the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs
We even see it now, volcanos erupt, decimating entire cities, sometimes those volcanoes are so bad they block the sun and make a ice age without ice.
Speaking of ice ages theres been one in the past and a chance of it happening again and knowing humans, we will blame humans cause the Earth wasn't getting hotter.
Then when it does get warmer the life still around will probably die from the change in temperature.
The earth also has many natural disasters like earthquakes that sometimes create ravines that one could fall into, but it happens rarely.
Another example of Natural disasters is tornadoes, which have three kinds, wind, water, and fire.
Water tornadoes are when a tornado forms over water.
Fire tornadoes are tornadoes made of fire.
Wind tornadoes are the most common.
Then there's tsunamis that decimate cities, drowning millions.
Theres also quite a few elements on this beautiful Earth that can either kill us very slowly or literally instantly.
You could die by touching it, breathing it in, or looking at it.
For example: radium, which slowly killed Marie Curie, which is the only way we even knew it was deadly.
There are also plants that could kill or injure humans.
For example, the cactus.
Some plants are also poisonous if consumed.
Also, some plants are just straight up horrifying in appearance or what they do, like slowly move around, or having vines so low that could get stuck and eaten by some random animal.
It may feel as though it is a good idea to go to mars, but mars is a far more hostile place.
It is nowhere near the habitable zone of the sun, it would be far too cold to sustain life.
It also has a thinner atmosphere, so anybody on mars would be blasted with deadly radiation.
It's thinner atmosphere also allows for small debris from space to reach the surface, small rocks travelling like bullets from the sky.
The air is also not breathable on mars, it is far denser, like breathing mustard.
So instead of trying to get all the billionares to mars [cough cough elon], we, as a society, should learn to live with the dangers of this earth.
