THE FOLLOWING IS THE GUIDELINES FOR MSTAR CERTIFICATION

What is Mstar

M star is a creative certification program designed instill the most trust and peace of mind in an audience that a piece of content was created fairly and ethically by holding directors and firms to a specific ethical standard for compensation, generative AI, and credits. Authors and creators may submit individual works for certification, if an artist completes the guidelines for three or more of their past works, as well as a few additional guidelines (listed below), they themselves may apply to become Mstar certified, this means that the entirety of their future works may be certified

Standards

1. Generative AI must not have been used at any point to supplement the work that a human artist could have done

2.  All persons involved must be part of their applicable union or otherwise fairly compensated

3.  Working spaces (if provided directly by the employer or project lead) for all persons involved must be free from harassment, discrimination, degradation, and any other physiologically damaging elements 

4.  Working spaces must also be free of physical hazards in compliance with OSHA guidelines 

5. IF any persons involved are entitled to a form of profit sharing they must receive a fair share of the full profits (revenue minus the finalized budget)

6. all persons involved MUST be credited clearly

Application process (single work)

1. You must submit full previous drafts of any work done for the project including on screen elements, script, graphics, post production timelines

2. You must submit anything that you believe will prove your work complies with the standards

3. The finished work

4. All credits for any person who was involved with the project as well as their specific portions

5. the final budget for the work in junction with the final revenue

Application process (creator)

1. You must have at least 3 previous works which have been certified 

2. You must pledge to comply with the standards 

3. MACMAN MEDIA GROUP may request that you submit a work for recertification at any time, failure to do so within 30 days will result in revocation
